The Du Bois Movement School is a training ground for aspiring and current movement organizers of all ages and backgrounds, equipping them with the tools to both understand the world and to change it. We seek to build the leadership capacity of all who wish to join the struggle for a free society, especially those organic intellectuals most directly impacted by injustice, by empowering them to shape theory through their own experiences and realize their collective power to dismantle oppressive systems. Thanks to overwhelming community support, we have been able to expand our program, and we are currently offering the following opportunities for study.

Abolition 101

At Abolition School, we study the world, not just to understand it, but to change it, and to fight for the kind of world we want to live in. Join us for 13 weeks of in-person collective study alongside a cohort of comrades also fighting for a world free of white supremacy, capitalist exploitation, patriarchy, and imperialist.
Black Jacobins Hybrid Seminar

The Haitian Revolution is the most important event that we don’t learn about in history class. Join us in person or connect remotely alongside participants worldwide to collectively study C.L.R. James’s The Black Jacobins and ask what the Haitian Revolution can teach us about revolution today.
